Turkey day at my brother's was not that bad, all things considered. There was my mom's ridiculously good cheesecake, for one thing, and traffic wasn't awful for the near-hour-long-each-way drive*. The food was mostly meh and under-seasoned -- neither my brother or sister-in-law eat onions o.O -- and something did a number on my stomach at least a half hour before we did cheesecake. But everyone was pleasant to each other. *g*
Also, unrelated, I hate that you can only use one promotional code per order with Lush.
*Further than the Zoo. Man, I love my little close-to-the-city suburb.

Drive-by posting
I know the last few weeks have been extremely busy, but now that I'm trying to remember what's been going on, I can't come up with anything other than the usual round of work, dishes, laundry, knitting, and crochet. Although this past weekend there was raking leaves, cutting down the remains of the New England asters, and harvesting more catmint. And two weekends ago there was a quick jaunt to Ionia to see my mom, attend the annual Soup Supper, and have my brother work his magic on our car. It needed new rear shocks and a new fuel pump. We should probably replace the battery before winter sets in, but so far we haven't.

a few things
1. Billiam told me that we're getting rid of our temp-who's-worked-for-us-for-over-a-year. This sucks. He's all trained in and only about 25% murder-worthy.

3. I'm being forced to spend Thanksgiving at my brother's. And my parents coerced the invitation out of my sister-in-law. Wow. This is going to be so. much. fun.
4. That blast from the past email that dropped into my inbox a couple weeks ago? SO glad I didn't answer it. Some people nevereverever change.
5. Also glad that Optional Details Are Optional.
